something to say part deux

Well, I talked to my dad about two things.
One was about sending off a registration for Vipassana 10-day retreat.
The other thing was about talking to my family doctor about signing the MMAR forms for me.
By the end of the conversation he said he wished I called like that more often.
He supports me in doing this. He wants me to be safe and had some advice for being honest with the doctor.  He did say talk about anger management and how hard it's been for me, and that it does help.
So today or tomorrow I will call to make an appointment at the West Point Grey Medical clinic.
I'll let us know how both items turn out: whether my doctor signs and whether or not I can participate in the retreat.  Then next chance isn't until August or later, and seeing the signs in the Sangha supported my cause for saying yes although there are many.
Maui might be off the books for now, we'll see.
