most of the blog members are aware of this kind of speak
but it has never been written, only im'd, skyped, or talked about in green timbers forest
so i will start to flesh it out here, as there is another module to be discussed
lindsey just told me that eckhart tolle says the state of anxiety comes from living in the future
it's so true for me, that when i am thinking about what may come, i am most anxious
eckhart tolle also says we can use the construct of the future by planning for it in the current moment
planning sets intention which is outgoing, anxiety is only expectant of the returning result, it's empty suffering... this is all about module two which will be called Circle Star Perspective, lol. Yes, a tribute to Chris.
so back to the Holy Trinity Module, actually the HTM is probably much larger because it points to all triumverates and systems. This module could be called the temple schematic, idk, we can name it later if necessary.
Step 1:
Naming it's not important, but (gratitude, situation, sangha, father, acceptance/enjoyment) all apply.
Walk into the forest.
Take a walk, wherever you can. The beach, the mall, the forest, the park, sidewalk or mountain top.
Bring an mp3 player (you don't even have to) or, bring a doobie if you like (also not necessary).
Come with the intention of enjoyment, of meeting your higher-self, of getting to that smile, finding your inner light, all that bullshit language we can apply to feeling good about ourselves.
Go into the forest. See the beauty, breathe the air, be aware of what can be seen seen, heard, smelled, touched, sensed. I guess this means learn how to meditate in a way. Be mindful of your surroundings, and be thankful for them. Being thankful and offering gratitude to ourselves and surroundings is the whole key of this step. If the environment still hasn't found in you, a sense of awe, put on some of your favorite music. Listen to something beautiful, that you enjoy, and percieve the shapes, colours, textures of what you pass along your walk. Note the coming, presence of, and passing of whatever your focus can attend to. Note the beauty, note everything that pleases you, that can be perceived and enjoyed. There are many ways to deepen our sense of gratitude. Do you know any?
So step 1 involves going on a walk and listening to the sounds of nature or beautiful music.
The goal is to instill a sense of gratitude and enjoyment with acceptance.
We are walking, listening, looking, smiling... not a bad start, definitely worth doing every day.
Step 2:
Step two can be named (son, relationship, dharma, hymnal practice, chanting, invocation, communicating) but does not matter.
Oh yeah, so that is also the first step in all church-like experiences. You go into the temple. You appreciate the beautiful architecture and art. You appreciate the silence or music playing. You appreciate that you are doing something based on higher-self, love and relationship. So you sit there and enjoy the body-states associated with these actions and thoughts. Go into the forest, go into the temple, go into the mall. Go to that place where we can address the concept of higher self. All are actions with a dedication to self or true-self, whose intention is happiness and helping others (maybe). Like I said, just doing this daily is helpful.
Back to step #2
By adding music to our practice we have added another element -- the Artist.
And the artist becomes the avatar of Higher Self.
We'll discuss the concept of higher self and moving towards in further in Step #3.
Sing to the music.
Straight up, your best karaoke performance, sing the lyrics.
Chanting. Hymnal practice. All religions use this practice.
Why? To invoke energy, to really channel and use human energy and consciousness is to empower the word and voice. It is how we communicate. So this practice is very essential to raising our energy so that we feel it can meet (not necessarily be equal to) that of the avatar. Ohmmmmm.
Demons are destroyed. Confidence is gained. So many things happen when we sing or chant, alone or together in a group. Try it and you'll see that it takes courage just to sing out loud.
I started singing to Devendra Banhart and Andrew Bird in 2006. Recently I sing to My Morning Jacket and Alexander Ebert. Victory Dance and Truth, respectively.
The connection to the artist as an avatar for Higher Self.
Jim James, Devendra, all artists are givers. They have chosen to become artists in their lifetimes if only for a moment in their life. They wrote songs for us, made film, music, art, architecture. The artist puts the message into everything they do. The songs are to wake you up! And to get you dancing! They remind you that life is beautiful, that there is purpose to life, to helping others. The artist shows the joy in what they do by showing the excellence in craft and if not that, the generosity, fearlessness and calm in which they convery whatever they do. They are a clear example of higher-self, and we can strive to connect with the message, the artist -- our higher self.
It's not hard to know what music moves us. Consider who creates this music, could it be you?
When you realize the answer is yes, that all artists once faced this question, the singing begins.
Hopefully you can see the parrallel to hymnal practice. The artist is JC and we sing the hymns to connect with that avatar of higher-self. When we see him in us, being a good christian becomes easy.
Sing and rejoice! (and be with him)
So step #3 is really just function that flows from this process.
Correct situation.... correct relationship.... correct function (ask about this if you don't know)
This is the same triumverate relationship. They are all the same trifectas, regardless of religion or language.
Step #3 is to connect with your higher-self. To allow our actions, thoughts, feelings, body-states resonate with our infinite creative potential. To be in this state, on our walk, post singing, to allow the possibilities to flow from this state of awareness in which we appreciate all aspects of life and consider ourselves available to all openings in life.
gonna post this now.... lots of other writing to do today...
thank you very much if you read this
talk to you soon
take care
